WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE?
Each day will have a different focus and activity for both the body and mind. We will start every day with an early morning yoga practice and meditation and there will be a fitness class later in the day. The days will be full of activity, but there will be a nice flow to everything to avoid feeling rushed. We will have dinners together at the end of the day to enjoy each other’s company, the amazing food and the relaxed vibe of Nicaragua.
*Please see below sample intinerary for an idea of what a day might be like -- You will receive your full intinerary upon check-in.

If you cancel your participation in a retreat for any reason outside the 60 days, the cancellation policy will apply, with no exceptions. We wish we could compensate people for unforeseen circumstances (injury, family emergency, etc), but to efficiently run our retreats, we have costs already incurred when reserving retreat centers and hotels. We have designed our cancellation policy to be as compassionate as possible in the case that your plans change. But to protect yourself further, we strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance.

IF WE CANCEL THE RETREAT
We have never had to cancel a retreat, however, if we do cancel a trip due too few participants, we will refund all deposits and payments you have paid. We cannot however compensate you for airfare or travel costs incurred. In the unlikely event that Samadhi Rising must cancel a yoga retreat due to weather, natural disaster or political upheaval, we cannot guarantee a refund – it will be depending on receiving a refund from the venue / tour operator we work with. To cover these risks, we highly recommend you purchase travel insurance.
TRAVEL & TRANSPORTATION
TRAVEL DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS
Current Passport is now required when traveling to Nicaragua. US citizens do not need a visa, but non-US citizens may need one. Please contact your airline or passport office.
The are TWO international aiports that you can flight into:
Managua Nicaragua Airport is about 2.5 hours.
The Costa Rican border is an hour’s drive from the resort and the Liberia Airport in Costa Rica is another hour from there. If you are travelling to or from Costa Rica, you need to account for time to cross the border which can take as little as 10 minutes or well over an hour depending on the time of day, year and how many agents happen to be working.
TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM MANAGUA AND LIBERIA COSTA RICA AIRPORTS
To take all the stress out of traveling (or at least as much as possible) Round Trip transportation from Managua airport is included in your retreat price. We can also pick you up from Liberia airport for an additonal $40 usd. We will need your flight information to monitor your flight status. Don't worry, we got you!
FLIGHT DELAYS AND/OR CANCELLATIONS
We will monitor your flight details, however, in case of a missed or cancelled flight, please contact Lola directly at You will also have Lola's mobile number as well once your retreat is confirmed.
The best way to protect yourself from any unforeseen circumstance is to purchase trip insurance. Depending on the type of Travel Insurance, it can protect you in the event:
you cancel your participation in the yoga retreat
the retreat is cancelled due to weather, natural disaster, or not enough participants
lost luggage, medical expenses, and the cost of repatriation should you become ill or injured
Besides the basic packing and travel needs, here are a few things to think about bringing with you:
Bathing suit (on-site pool, beach)
Comfortable shoes/sneakers (city walking, hiking)
Walking or Hiking Boots, Sandals

OTHER THINGS TO KNOW:
Can I drink the water?
Purified water is available at the restaurant and pool bar for drinking. Although you can safely bathe and brush your teeth with the tap water, we don’t recommend drinking a glass full.
Is there WiFi?
Yes, WiFi is available on site and it’s free, but given that Nicaragua is a developing country, the internet connection can be inconsistent. We hope you unplug and indulge in the serenity of the beautiful beach and natural setting.
What other activities are available?
Hiking local trails, snorkeling, horseback riding, deep sea fishing, and of course, world-class surfing, boogie boarding, ocean swimming, body surfing and just relaxing on a hammock with a book. The resort can help arrange activities such as zip-line canopy tour, surfing lessons, and horseback riding.
What is the tipping policy?
Tips are gretely apprecitaed. If you wish to leave tips for the staff, you can do so at check out and are completely given at your discretion. Tips can either be given to a specific person, department, or left with the front desk to be shared amongst all
Is there A/C in the rooms?
All of the rooms, bungalows and cabins are situated and designed to take full advantage of the near constant breezes on the hilltop. They each have a powerful ceiling fan as well which makes a great alternative to air conditioning and keeps everyone comfortably cool. The two rooms by the pool have both fans and air-conditioners.
